Bahrein veut renforcer la répression contre les homosexuels

Les autorités de l'état de Bahrein, dans le Golfe, veulent renforcer la répression des homosexuels par une série de mesures incluant l'expulsion des gays étrangers.
La commission des Affaires étrangères, de la Défense et de la Sécurité propose de renforcer les contrôles en matière d'immigration afin d'empêcher les homosexuels d'entrer dans le pays. "Les homosexuels se présentent normalement à l'aéroport, mais dès qu'ils sont rentrés dans le pays, ils reprennent leur mode de vie", a déclaré à la presse le secrétaire de la commission Jalal Fairouz.
Le ministère de l'Intérieur a entrepris d'inspecter régulièrement les salons de coiffures, les instituts de beauté ou de massage "où se trouvent un grand nombre d'homosexuels"ses services.
"Tous ceux qui ont une apparence homosexuelle ou qui proposent des services personnels à la clientèle seront arrêtés par la police et traduit en justice", a encore prévenu Jalal Fairouz pour qui les gays "trahissent les valeurs islamiques".
Toutes ces dispositions vont être soumises aux parlementaires pour être adoption.
L'état de Bahrein est dirigé par des partis islamistes qui prétendent édicter la morale publique dans le pays.

Il governo del Bahrain vuole punire i "bambini gay"

Il primo ministro del Bahrain ha commissionato uno studio per "sconfiggere" l'omosessualità nel suo paese. Una delle misure sarebbe quella di punire i bambini che manifestano segni di omosessualità
Il governo del Bahrain ha avviato una ricerca fra esperti del settore per cercare di debellare l'oosessualità in tutto il territorio dello statp. Nella grande serie di proposte ricevute da parte del gruppo di lavoro c'è anche quella di vietare l'ingresso ai turisti omosessuali e di chiedere agli insegnanti di far emergere eventuali tendenze "fuori dalla norma" dei loro studenti in modo che essi possano essere "duramente puniti".
Il Bahrain è una delle mete più tolleranti fra le nazioni musulmane del Medio Oriente. Tuttavia l'omosessualità rimane ancora un crimine da quando nel 1956 si è smarcata dall'Impero britannico per adottare il codice penale indiano.

Bahrein, proposta alla Camera: "Fuori i gay dal Paese"

Intensificare le pene per gli studenti coinvolti in atti omosessuali

Roma, 28 LUG - Un parlamentare del Bahrein ha chiesto al governo di impedire immediatamente l'accesso nel paese alle persone omosessuali per eliminare l'indecenza nel regno. Lo riferisce l'agenzia Gulf News riportando la richiesta del deputato Mohammad Khalid, affiliato ai Fratelli musulmani. Secondo il parlamentare, il governo di Manama deve dare applicazione a una mozione approvata dalla Camera bassa del Bahrein all'inizio del 2008. Khalid ha anche sollecitato il ministro dell'Industria e del Commercio a monitorare da vicino gli istituti di bellezza e le sale massaggio. Il deputato ha infine chiesto alla polizia di deportare gli omosessuali coinvolti in attivita' illegali e di intensificare le pene per gli studenti coinvolti in atti omosessuali.

Bahrain arrests scores in raid on gay party

Manama Bahrain has arrested 127 people, mainly gays from the Gulf countries, for holding a "depraved and decadent" party.
The revellers hired a sports hall in Hidd, a conservative village on Muharraq island in the north of Bahrain, and organised on Wednesday evening a fee-paying party that brought together gay men from the Arabian Gulf countries.
Most of the gays were between 18 and 30 years old and one Lebanese and one Syrian were among those arrested following the police bust, Al Ayam daily reported on Friday.
Neighbours, complaining about the late night noises emanating from the sports hall in the traditional fishing village, had alerted the police who sent a patrol to verify the claims at around 2.30am.
An undercover agent paid the 20 dinar entrance fee and was allowed into the hall where he saw dozens of cross-dressers drinking and smoking shishas. More patrols were called in and 127 people were arrested in the police swoop, the daily said.
Initial investigations have revealed that the gays were either Gulf nationals who came to Bahrain for the party or were living in Bahrain and flocked to the hall in Hidd. The organisers are being held separately.
The embassies of the non-Bahrainis have been told about the arrest, the paper said.
The hall was shut down on Thursday pending the investigation. Hidd Club officials who own the hall said that they would look into the case and check with the investor who had rented it.
Homosexuality is banned in Bahrain, like in the other five Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and foreigners arrested in relation to gay activities are deported after serving prison terms.
